Life1 by Quadeca

It would be an understatement to say I've been anticipating this album, the singles Dark Magic Baby Steps, Hell of a Time, and Life1 (where did the time go) were all incredibly well composed songs with old Casio drum loops and iconic sounds from the early days of shitty keyboard synthesizers. The album in it's entirety is playful, fun, melancholic at times, and catchy. My favorite song off this project has to be "Make you my what" with Kmoe, but I have heavy bias because of my love for Kmoe. This album release coincides with Quadeca's fifth music video, this one for the song "The Hero Never Dies". Each of the videos for this project have been impressive and coheasive within the universe of Life1, which I attribute to the way the album was conceived. Quadeca is quoted to say the project was entirely "Recorded on tour busses and road trips to miscellaneous places in arizona, washington, utah… anywhere with weird trees that’s not Los Angeles." What a fun way to push yourself outside of your comfort zone and find new places to be inspired by.

"embracing this life as just a first try - from a place of love and acceptance for what it means to be human." - Quadeca on the mentality behind Life1
